Event Description
Dr Brent Mawson, Principal Lecturer - Technology and Early childhood education, University of Auckland
Brent has researched and published on children’s independent collaborative play, young children’s leadership styles, and the pedagogy of kindergarten teachers and playcentre parent educators. He is investigating children’s leadership roles in 4 early childhood settings.
We will also be discussing the ECE Funding Cuts in the 2010 Budget, and what next in the campaign for quality early childhood education.
All welcome, light refreshments provided, please bring a small donation to help cover food costs. We hope to see you there!
