Aro Valley Fair

A couple of us are collecting signatures tomorrow at the Aro Valley Fair.  There is also a gala at the Adelaide centre (colombo St, Newtown) and I''m sure the petition will be in evidence there.

Hi all

Ali and friends will be at the Island Bay Festival this weekend so if you are able to help with the petition please go down and join in. Apparently afterwards there is a meeting of the "Band Aide" group to progress that event.

I was wondering about overcoming geographical distance for meetings by having skype meetings? Our mens network do skype meetings regularly and they work really well. If you want to find me on skype its not too hard my username is dylanbraithwaite.

Cheers

Many thanks to those that attended our first planning session for universal children's day. Thanks to Katie, Bronwen, Erin, Sue, Sandra, and Kevin for getting the ball rolling.

Kia ora koutou katoa

Nga mihi nui ki a koutou. Thanks to all of you for getting into the first of action last night. It was great to see so many people for the first Network meeting. If we all bring a friend and start really building for the first and second waves of action we'll be like a tidal wave in no time! Thanks to Leanne and NZEI staff for all of their hard work in preparing for it. Thanks also to those who travelled such a long way. Spread the word to your collegues and whanau about the issues and potential issues that are being master minded by this short-sighted government. When I got to work this morning one of our Mums asked me what they could do to stop this and suggested she begin a petition from whanau to send into government. They will react!

Nga mihi
