Sandra and Pam are real champs...

Hi all Thought I'd just blog this. On a very wet and cold Saturday morning last weekend Sandra (Heretaunga Kindergarten) and Pam (NZEI Central Office) went to the Lower Hutt markets to ask people to sign our petition. It was not a nice day. No one could blame any others for not wanting to attend, nor could anyone be blamed for not being too interested in a petition about funding cuts in ECE. But... Sandra had the goal of not leaving until she had at least 100 signatures - and she met her…See More

Wellington Activities

Kia ora all I attended the meeting of the executive of Wellington Area Coucil yesterday and was very excited to receive what is now really resembling a strategic plan for the wider Wellington region in relation to the ECE cuts campaign. There was obviously a fantastic organizing meeting late last week that shows just how much people are now pulling together to gain more signatures for the petition. Perhaps those who are participating in events in Wellington City between now and the end of the…See More

Wairarapa ECE FEB 1 Actions

Hi to all in the ece community.

I'm really pleased to report that things have been very active here in the Wairarapa around the ece cuts campaign. There is now a very active ece network operation in the region who are active in kindergarten and early childhood centres. Four kindergartens featured on Feb 1st as the Labour Party Candidate, Michael Bott visited, and some media came along to Solway Kindergarten in Masterton as well. In my kindergarten we have already collected…

Kia Ora Dylan!  Happy New Year.  Apologises for not being in touch but I've just arrived back from the U.K.  I've been chatting to Neil at work about our conversations before Christmas.  Trying to arrange a music festival day?  Do you remember?  Anyway just letting you know that it hasn't been forgotten about, Neil and I are catching up this weekend to see if we can get the ball rolling.  Would be really cool if you could get involved too.  I must admit I'm great at coming up with ideas but not that great at putting them into action!

Give me a buzz on this or my mobile if you get a chance and are still interested in helping out with this.  My cell number is 0211195493.

Cheers

Ali :)

You too. Sorry to have take so long to reply - a week's leave means so many emails mount up. I am sure I will be up in the Wairarapa before too long. But we will probably see you down here. Cheers Jenny
